2.1.6 Returns 500 error on homepage

It looks like your host disabled the preg_quote() function. Please, delete the plugin and install it again. Te issue should be fixed.

tbh, without logs, I can’t know what exactly is the problem.
I suggest to download the previous version of the plugin and install it until I find a solution.

Although the link says 2.1.5 after installation version number seems 2.1.6 at extension manager. and still, the problem persists.
So I downloaded 2.1.4 and installed, disable the automatic upgrades from WordPress it seems ok as of now.

If the file you sent me truly 2.1.5 than it means, I have the same problem on 2.1.5 as well.
So I am on hold with workaround, waiting for an update

Unfortunately no. Tested in different environments. We couldn’t reproduce the issue.
Would you contact your webhost in order to enable error logging?

yeah but I cannot use 2.1.6 as of now so that wont work,
it is impacting all my affiliate links :((
