Errors like that are typically related to database caching on your server or security that prevents new database tables from being created. If you can tell me who your host is I might have more actionable insights on that.

Other than that, try the following:

    1) Clear your cache and deactivate all caching plugins
    2) If your host provides a caching tool (like Siteground’s SuperCacher) try to deactivate it via cPanel, or request your host to disable it for a few hours while you test
    3) Deactivate any security plugins you are using
    4) Try the update again — all should go fine.
    5) Activate your caching and security plugins again and all should be fine.

Let me know about your host and how it goes with those steps. Thanks!

I’m having the same issue. I disabled the caching and security plugins, same – it starts, stays at 0%, and then just fails.
