I just updated to 2.0.2 and now my post editor doesn’t work. I get the error “The editor has encountered an unexpected error.” And three buttons: “Attempt Recovery,” “Copy Post Text,” and “Copy Error.”

Deactivating Publish To Apple News or re-uploading 2.0.1 both immediately fixed the problem.

I have Gutenberg active on my site.

Can you provide your operating system and browser name and version, please? For example, Windows 10, Internet Explorer 11, or what-have-you. I’m wondering if this is a browser-specific bug related to how we are bundling the JavaScript, since it doesn’t appear to be a widespread issue. Also, if there is any additional information in the error report in the console, that would be very helpful to have. I haven’t been able to reproduce this issue on my end.

I’d forgotten that this was still an issue and I had re-enabled the plugin on my site just recently. Then, with Health Check’s help, I found it was Publish To Apple News again.

Here’s the error text it gives me when I visit a post editor (page editor is fine) and click “Copy error”:
