Getting Intall Page on Blog w/ WP 2.6

  • A couple of night ago, I ran into an issue that results in all my blog pages redirecting to the “install.php” page.

    I was moderating a comment in the dashboard, approved it, tried to “view site” and now all I get is the installation page. I can’t view any previous posts, I can’t log into my WP account, I can’t seem to do anything.

    FYI, I’m running WP 2.6.

    It seems like someone else ran into this problem w/ a previous version; the difference is that I always get the “install.php” page.

  • I’m getting the same thing. When I check the database errors (by placing in an email address on the “install” page) I see that the file wp_options.MYD is missing.

    I unfortunately have no idea how to solve things from there.

    There definitely seems to be an issue with 2.6 database upgrade that is causing this.

    It’d be fantastic to get some direction.
