    Hola

Trying to load the install.php file resulted in a white screen. I’ve double-checked the config.php file and scanned for script errors. There are no errors to be found and the config file is correctly set up.

When I try another database name, I get a message saying that the username and password is correct, but the database doesn’t exist. Trying the right DBname results in, like I said, a white screen. I’ve checked with the e-mail I recieved from the host, and everything IS correct.

    Anyone having similar problems?

Oh, I forgot to mention that I installed WP in a folder I named ‘mainsite’.

  • Hi Fred,
I have exactly the same problem. I’ve tried to upload wp to my host three times during the last hour and I used three different fpt program. I’ve checked the config file a number of times. I just noticed that the size of the files I’ve uploaded changes by them selves after some minutes. ??? Has an evil bug sneaked in?

Make sure you don’t have another config file somwhere. If you have, then delete it. Then go to the MySQL database and delete wordpress manually. That should work.

No extra config anywhere and an empty mysql – but still a white Screen.

    Time for Blogger maybe. :-))
