1.8.6 to 1.8.7 lost podcast function

By function/ability I mean I can’t add any details as there is not Podcast section on these pages to add the source MP3/etc.

it came back for 1.8.5 and 1.8.6 if that helps.

So are you saying that since the latest update (1.8.7) you do not see the podcast episode details field on any custom post types? Not sure why that’s happening and I’m not able to reproduce the issue on my test server, but I’ll look into it and see what I can work out.

That being said, does Sermon Manager provide you with any podcasting functionality? Because if it does then there’s a fairly good chance it will cause conflicts with SSP, but I can’t say for sure because I’ve never used it.

Hello! Yes it does provide a podcast feed. However that plugin podcast function is broken by itself and I can’t seem to fix it. It never properly generated the xml feed.

But when I installed your plugin it worked great. (great job btw! love the plugin) I was able to podcast from the custom page type it uses. So it worked then the version went from 1.8.2 to 1.8.3 and quit working.

Then it was lost again with the 1.8.6 to 1.8.7 and now the feed is blank. So I’m trying to figure out what I can do to fix it.

And actually now that I check it the feed is gone now. So it lost the feed and the meta box in the editor for the custom page type.

I’ve just discovered and fixed the cause of this issue. My apologies – the function calling the meta box was being loaded too early and it was not aware of the post types it needed to use just yet. I have rectified this and release the fix in v1.8.8 – the update should be available in your WordPress dashboard by now.
