Lost password, email retrieval not working

If you lost your password, or you tried resetting your password and that failed, please read the Codex article, Resetting Your Password, to learn how to reset your password to a known value.
If you have access to phpMyAdmin, the section on Resetting Your Password through phpMyAdmin is for you.
If you did use the “Lost your password” link on your admin login panel, and then clicked on the link in the Password Reset email, you might have seen a “Sorry, that key does not appear to be valid.” message. That is a known Version 2.5.1 bug (trac ticket 6842) and will be fixed in the next WordPress update (likely 2.5.2 or 2.6).
