• Hi there

I have installed the 1800 blooger personal theme in which the header has 3 columns at the top for features . I have managed to change these 3 sections to the widgets I like and the text, however, it is only changing on the home page and all the subsequent static pages remain unchanged. I want all my page titles to be the same.

Please can anyone help, I cant seem to find any support for this wordpress theme.

  • Your theme probably does not include the code/markup for those three columns within its page default template. Either the home page uses a special template or the theme’s default page template includes code that identifies whether it’s displaying the home page or an underlying page. if it’s the former, it loads the markup for the three columns. If it’s the latter, it doesn’t.

The theme would need to be edited to achieve what you want.

Is there a way of doing that? I dont want the feature section on my static pages, only the widgets that I have included.

You’d need to edit a couple of your theme’s template files.

So , where can i edit my theme template and how so my features section looks the same across all pages.

    Thanks

I had the same problem. I’m not sure if this is a good solution or not but here’s one thing I did:

First, I backed up the code from the “Page Template (page.php)” by copying it and pasting it into a notepad document on my desktop. I did this in case I run into problems and need to restore things.

Second, I copied the code from the “Main Index Template (index.php)” and pasted it into the “Page Template (page.php)” …replacing the code I now have backed up.

I think this solves the problem, but I’m not sure if there are other problems that may pop up in doing this. I really don’t do much with code I just know enough to screw around and sometimes find a solution or mess things up real bad! So you’ll have to let me know if that works for you and if anyone else knows any better that would be useful for both of us…
