• hello all,

i am creating a very simple site, where each main page is essentially a category of posts (a category page). i am trying to create category-specific archives (so each page has its own archive, in essence). i know there must be an easy way to do this, but i have been trying for hours to find and/or figure out how, with no luck. i fear i am going to have to hack stuff up to get what i want.

can anyone tell me if there is an easy way to do this?

    thanks much in advance.

  • Using the WordPress 1.6 Default Theme, when you click on a Category listing in the sidebar, you are taken to an archive page that lists the posts in that Category. Is that not what you need to accomplish?

    thanks for the quick reply!

i am using the anaconda theme, which has been modified quite a bit. i have no category listing, other than the main menu items themselves. i want to have a link on the sidebar that says “archives”, which when clicked on, goes to an archive index page for that category.

    does this make sense?

here is the website (i hate it, it is a client’s).
