• Is anyone else having the problem that the Brunelleschi Options settings are not taking effect once you updated to the newest version? And also the Header image does not show up though all settings are to show it.

Please reply to this post if you are having the same problem.

I do not have a site to show anyone because I rolled my sites back to the previous version of Brunelleschi. However I am happy to update one of the sites back to 1.6.3 if someone wants to look at what is going on. (Kit? I am a techie and tester so I am a good one to work it through with.)

Kit, thank you so much for updating the theme! I am excited about the update. . . and I am sure I will love it once I can get it working.

I too am having the same problem. Site using 1.5.9 is fine, but one I am working on using 1.6.5 does not show header. Am a bit concerned that Kit’s site is showing an error page – hope he’s okay! I love Brunelleschi and it looks beautiful for my work, but I need it to be consistent. Stick it out or move to another theme? Would appreciate advice from you more experienced people out there. Many thanks. A.
PS: https://www.fortyplusweddings.co.uk This one is fine

Kit has been unresponsive. Anybody able to look at the code between the new version and the earlier 1.5.9 and see what’s missing? I certainly don’t have the knowhow for this.

Perhaps you all might consider hiring someone to look into fixing whatever problems there are with the theme.

    My header image solution:

    – build the header image, I used a size of 1140x200px

    – Upload the header at a separate host (I used imgur.com)

    – Insert the link code into the style sheet on the correct line

I suppose this isn’t the best solution, or correctly coded either but it does do the trick. Once the code is installed, it is simple to change header images as long as they are correctly sized simply by changing a string of code.

@jrm6360 – thanks for that solution, makes sense but I can’t see where in the style sheet to insert the link code – could you post the line number please?

Apologies, I have changed themes but can tell you to look for “header” and find the specific linr. Sorry i cant be more helpful.

Ok thanks – I’ve tried on the various different header lines and it’s still not showing up, so will continue to work at it. Thanks anyway!

I found out, that the problem is not Brunellschi Version, but the WordPress Version. It runs perfekt with WORDPRESS 3.4.2.

If you’re using an older version of WordPress, you’re compromising your website through security flaws.

And if there is a problem on 3.5+ that’s because the theme is not coded properly – it’s a theme issue. Otherwise thousands of other themes would also have problems.

problem is not Brunellschi Version, but the WordPress Version. It runs perfekt with WORDPRESS 3.4.2.

You have it backwards. The theme needs to be compatible with the current version of WordPress (3.5.1). Do ensure that you are using the most recent version of the theme.

And next time, please post your own topic. Posting in an existing topic prevents us from being able to track issues by topic.
