    Hi,

I’ve been having some issues with duplication of events from my .ICS calendar feeds. I removed the feeds (in an effort to remove all the events and start fresh), and was left with a ‘no events found’ message as normal. However, I then noticed that at the top of the main ‘Events’ page it still says “All (149,234) | Published (149,234)”. What are these events? How do I get rid of them?

I decided I would try and uninstall then reinstall the plugin. I deactivated and then deleted but my server timed out (no doubt due to the amount of files). Now, when I try and reactivate the plugin, I get this error message when I click on ‘Events’:

    “Ai1ec_Event_Not_Found_Exception thrown

Event with ID ‘636954’ could not be retrieved from the database.”

Any advice you can give is much appreciated.

    Thanks

  • Hi,

There is no other way but to manually delete events from the database. Events are stored in wp_posts table (single event is stored in wp_posts, wp_ai1ec_events and wp_ai1ec_event_instances). You have to delete all tables with prefix ai1ec_% and all posts from wp_posts table where post_type = ‘ai1ec_event’ (and all corresponding meta data). That should solve this issue.

The Bulk Delete plugin you recommended, Benjamin, dealt with this same issue for me brilliantly (though I didn’t have it quite as bad with about 1/10 the number of events mkettle has)

I am glad your issue is resolved.

    Take care,
    Ben
