15 Minutes Delay in Chat box

    Hi there, we have a strange problem. In the Front-End Chatbox the time displayed is shifted 15 minutes to the past when a chat operator answers.
    E.g.
    – a client writes in the chatbox at 15:00
    – the chat operator answers at 15:02
    – in the chat box the answer says it was posted at 14:47

    In the backend the time is correct.
    Also we have checked the Server (Linux) and WordPress time and it is all correct.
    Any hint? ??

    Hi @flymke ,
    message timestamps are converted to system client’s time on chat box in order to avoid confusion like when a visitor is in different timezone than the agent. The first step is to check if the chat in history has the correct timestamps. If yes it is probably wrong the clock on client’s system. Otherwise please provide us some screenshots with the chatbox of the agent and the chatbox of the client including the system clock to proceed with further investigation.

    Hi there, actually we have tested in on 2 different clients and the client’s local time is correct.
    Also it seems odd to me that it’s a difference of 15 minutes (I would say that 1 hour could lead to a different timezone or so). But on both clients (one is even PC, the other one Mac) it’s 15 minutes.
