• hi,

I recently upgraded to version 2.3.1.
I just created a new page template based on page.php. I could create a new page based on the template. When I go to manage/pages, I can’t see my newly created page in the list. When I do a search with a word part of the title, the page appears! The page is correctly displayed on my site and is recognized for example by the wp-tree plugin.
Is the non-displaying of the page in the manage/pages list a bug for the 2.3 version or am I doing something wrong?

  • This confused me:

I could create a new page

If you did create the Page did you by any chance also add Custom Fields at the same time?

thank you for responding so fast.

The answer is: there are no custom fields defined in the page.
(again I found my page back by filtering the manage/pages list with a word form the title)

may be there is something wrong in the new edit-pages.php…

Check to make sure you’re not using Firefox. It seems to have problems with the dropdown menus on the Create/Edit Page page. Safari (for us Mac users) works.

I tried with Opera 9.24 buid 8816 and IE 7.0.5730.11 with the same result for manage/pages.
I still believe there is something wrong with the edit-pages.php file. Maybe something todo with the $post_status_q and/or the $_GET[‘s’] variables?
