    Hello,
I’ve installed 1.3.1 on my site, and when I try to “Backup Now”, all I get is a .backup_complete file with filesize=0 in my /backups dir. My site is about 40MB.

I’ve tried asking the WebhostingUK tech support, but they could not find anything suspicious.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance,
    David

    Hi Lost Rambler,

Could I ask whether you are on a Windows server or Linux?

    Dear Tom,

My site is on Linux, and I get to it with CPanel.

    Ok, next question.

When you view the manage backups page which of these messages to you see

? Your files will be backed up using /usr/bin/zip.

    OR

? shell_exec is disabled which means we have to use the slower PHP fallbacks, you could try contacting your host and asking them to enable it.

    /usr/bin/zip
    and
    /usr/bin/mysqldump

I contacted tech support, and they said that both /usr/bin/zip and mysqldump are correctly configured and working.

    Thanks for your quick answers,

I don’t know of any issues that cause what you are describing, would it be possible for you to email me at support @ humanmade.co.uk and we can work out how to get to the bottom of whats happening.
