11.1 broke my site

  • Yoast was SEO great and used it for a while until the 11.1 update. It broke my site and no images were displayed etc. De-activated the plugin and website back to normal. Waiting for another update before I can activate it again………

    We are sorry to hear you’re having problems with Yoast SEO v11.1. We’ve just released version 11.1.1 of our plugin, can you please update the plugin and check if the problem is resolved? If it persists, you may want to try the following:

    • Make sure WordPress, your theme and your other plugins are also up-to-date
    • Check if the problem is the same when all non-Yoast plugins are deactivated and your theme is on Twenty Nineteen. As we can imagine that you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process: How to check for plugin conflicts.

    Hello monbauza,

    Can you check for “plugins/wordpress-seo/frontend/schema/class-schema-person.php on line 118” in Google ? There are a lot of websites that are suffering the same problem as we do.

    The WordPress is updated as well the few plugins we have.
    And we are using the default WordPress theme.

    edit : this happens when the author does not exists.
    Your code is referring to $user_data = get_userdata( $user_id );
    It does not check if the user exists hence fail if it does not exist.
