1099-K “Gross amt of Payment” different from total net sales

    The amount WooCommmerce reports in line 1a of their 1099-K, “Gross amount of payment,” is different from the net sales that they report in their Orders report. Why is this?

    To have more context about this, could you please let us know if the 1099K you received came from one of a WooCommerce payment gateway services, such as WooPayments? We would also appreciate it if you could share which payment gateway your site uses.
