  • none of the above deal with the fact that tinymce keeps getting stuck in Code View once you upgrade to wp 2.1.2.

WYSIWYG is active when you initially go to the write page but as soon as you press preview, save, etc. it will switch to code view and you won’t be able to switch back. Sometimes it helps to delete the browser cache but tinymce will revert to code view again if you do any of the above.

    This is a 2.1.2 issue.

I’ve just upgraded to 2.2 and the text editor is still not working properly. This is a major issue across a number of installations – is there any official word on this?

I’ve not come across anything official during my search over the past few days – just lots of people complaining about it. However, there seem to be plenty of suitable replacement plugins that are far better anyway. See my reply here.

I’m not very happy with this solution, mostly because these add-on editors tend to screw with WP’s image-uploading tool, which I’ve trained the site’s users to use, and works really well…

i agree with stml. tinymce needs to be fixed for real. i get the not defined js error all the time, and have tried 5+ “solutions” found across the forum.
