#1064 – You have an error in your SQL syntax

This was in phpMyAdmin? It probably has nothing to do with WordPress and just means that SHOW PLUGINS is not a valid query.

I am unable to access the database in phpMyAdmin so that I can access it to export or backup.

Is there a way to fix this?

That’s probably something you should ask your hosting provider about… they should be able to help you.

They directed me to WordPress as the problem is with the syntax. I can access all my other databases or new databases. They said I need to repair the code of the SQL file.

Are you trying to import a file into phpMyAdmin?

At first I backed it up and was trying to import the file which did not work as I received the same error.

Secondly I tried to access the database directly so that I could export/backup from phpMyAdmin and I received the 1064 error.
