100% CPU usage

    Hi
    Thank you for plugin.
    I have VDS server with 4 core processor, RAM 4 GB. It has 100% CPU usage with 250 online users and 15 second refresh time. Is this normal situation? Is there way to optimise processor loading with this refresh time?

    Hi,

    Thank you for your feedback. Are you sure Wise Chat is causing this? Check if Lightweight engine is enabled. You can also limit the number of users in your channels.

    Ajax powered chat plugins are easy to install and maintain, but sometimes demand higher resources on the server. This is caused by the technology and not by Wise Chat itself.

    Hi Marcin,

    I use Lightweight AJAX. Yesterday i had 60% CPU usage with 60 users and 1min refresh time. The reason of high CPU usage is Wise chat (Ajax powered technology), because it happens only when chat is opening. Do you have data of stress testing?

    Unfortunately, I don’t have such data at the moment for Wise Chat. As I said, Ajax-powered chats require more resources than WebSocket-powered chats. This is just a nature of Web and how it works.
