    Hello,

Is there any way to force one of the ads to appear 100% on a specific page/post?

I have a client who sponsored a post but wants only his Ads to be shown there. For the rest of the pages the ads are with the regular rotation but to be 100% for his post.

I cannot find a way to achieve that without manually disabling all other ads for this page which cannot work as they are added all the time.

    Greetings! ??

    Hi blue2k,

    Thank you for reaching out.

There are several ways how you can easily implement this.

    • Change the group mode from “random” to “ordered
    • Define for all ads of this group the same weight, e.g. “9”.
    • Define for the ad that you want to show 100% on the specific page a higher ad weight, e.g. “10”
    • Add a “specific pages” display condition to this ad unit, so that this ad will only be displayed on the certain page where you want to see it.

Advanced Ads will always try to show the ad with the highest ad weight first. If this does not work due to defined conditions, the plugin will “jump” to the next ad unit. In the “ordered” group mode, ads with the same weight will behave as in “random” mode. So your ads will continue to rotate on the remaining pages.

If you use Advanced Ads Pro, you can solve this even easier. Add a “specific pages” display condition to your placement and define that this placement is not showing on your particular page.

Then you create the same placement again and define via display condition that this placement is only shown on this specific page. Finally, you add the ad of your sponsor to this second placement.

The result is that your first group behaves as you are used to. The second placement will only appear on the specific page where your original placement is no longer displayed.

    Hi Joachim,

Thank you for your quick answer. I am using Advanced Ads Pro anyway.
Of course the first thing I tried was to add the “Specific Page” display condition, but the issue that comes is that when I add the “Specific page condition” the Ad shows only on this page, not everywhere else as it should.

So the point is to rotate the specific ad together with all ads everywhere with equal rotation but on that specific page to load ONLY this ad (100%), not all of the rest.

I could only achieve this by manually disabling the rest of the ads for this specific page/post, but this cannot work as we are constantly adding new ads.

    Any other ideas? ??

    Hi Boris,

    Thanks for your reply.

In this case, I would duplicate the placement by creating a new one and assign only the ad to it and not the entire group. Add the “specific pages” condition to this placement instead of adding it to this ad unit.

You would also need to add the “specific pages” condition to the first placement and set it to hide the entire placement on the specific page.

Please, keep in mind that as a user of Advanced Ads Pro, you have access to direct support.

    Best regards,
    Joachim
