    Hello,

Connections Business Directory has stopped working on my site since last update.

Despite the fact that the stated minimum WordPress version is 5.6, 10.4.47 refuses to function with WordPress under 5.8.

I actually cannot urgently upgrade WordPress due to unresolved incompatibilities. I need some time to address those issues.

Is there a way to revert this plugin to a version that would be compatible with WordPress 5.6.11 ?

Thanks in advance, Lots of pages are now non-functioning.

    Kind Regards.

Sorry to hear you are having trouble!

Do you recall which version of Connections you upgraded from?

Are you receiving any specific error messages from WordPress or in PHP error log? If so, what is/are they?

Can you please provide any other information to better describe the issue other than stopped working?

You can try using the WP Rollback plugin to rollback to a previous version. If you can recall which version you upgraded from, you can try rolling back to that version.

Regarding compatibility, Connections is not using any WP 5.8 or specific code other than for the Block editor and that code will only load on newer versions of WordPress so that should not cause an issue.

Oh… after writing the above, I do see the issue. I did bump the minimum requirements from 2.6 to 5.8 in the last update. I have the readme file tagged correctly. I’m not sure why that is not being properly reflected on wp.org. I’ll have to investigate that and correct. Try rolling back to the previous version.

I hope this helps; please let me know

Just a quick followup to see if you were able to successfully rollback to version 10.4.46?

    Hi Steven,

Sorry for the late answer… I’m on travel and couldn’t test the solution right away.

WP Rollback dit the trick : I could successfully rollback to 10.4.45 and the module works perfectly now. Of course, I’ve disabled auto-update until I manage to update WordPress.

    Thanks again !

    Cheers

It is good to hear you are up and running again. I figured out why the minimum WP version was not set correctly and corrected it, so WP should not attempt to install further updates on WP 5.7 and below. Apologies for the trouble!

    Have a great day!
