• So here is a weird issue. I recently noticed that after upgrading all sites to 3.0.4 that there is still one sub site that is not upgrading and is till using WPMU 2.9.2.

Not only that, but somehow it seems to be using an older database. For example; my main site has updated all plugins. I have even REMOVED some sites that we were not using. However when I go to this site that isn’t being upgraded, there are all the OLD plugins and the OLD sites are still there as if nothing happened.

    How is this possible?

    Thanks!

After some troubleshooting I have noticed that it is more then just one site that isn’t being upgraded and seems to be using an older database version.

An older version of SQL you mean?

yeah, is that possible? I went from a shared server to a private server and then back to a shared server. Not sure if that had anything to do with it. Thanks!

Totally possible, especially if you bounced back and forth between servers ??

Sort out what version of SQL is on all the sites, and get the one low ball one updated.

I should probably mention that I am using WPMS and was using WPMU before the upgrade. How do I go about finding which SQL I’m using for the outdated site?

    Thanks again!

Ask your webhost what version of SQL is running on that account.

Is ti all in one database?
Is it all in one network? Are you using multiple networks?
Have you tried forcing an upgrade by changing the db version in the tables themselves?

Is new data being saved to the tables? I find it really strange it’s showing plugins you removed. Caching?

I’m betting the move didn’t grab the latest and greatest copy of the DB.

Hey thanks everyone for assisting me with this. I had to get another project finished so sorry about the late reply.

very odd. now everything is as it should be. What’s weird is that I didn’t do ANYTHING. I’ve been working on a different project this whole time.

The old plugins have disappeared and have been replaced by the new ones. I don’t know what the hell happened…..I’m not complaining though ??

Wish I knew what happened though.

    Caching.
