1 Post block for each category with Elementor

    I’m using the Astra Pro theme along with Elementor Pro. I have defined 8 post categories. On my home page, I’d like to have a grid of 8 blocks, one for each category, each one showing the summary of the latest post in that category. The block should link to either the displayed post or to the category archive. The Elementor Posts widget doesn’t allow me to do that (unless I missed something).

    The only solution I have found until now (beside using yet another plugin) is to create a simple grid, each of the 8 cells containing an instance of the Elementor Single Post widget and displaying the last post of a given category.

    There must be a more elegant solution, I guess but I have not much experience with WP.

  • Asking here about Pro products gives you a much smaller pool of people to answer your question, since the volunteers here likely don’t have that product.
    You should ask at the product’s support forum, since everyone there knows what you are talking about, and you already paid for that support.

    There is nothing wrong with using yet another plugin. Code has to exist somewhere, so the name we’ve given that is “plugin”.
