1 Guest account & allow guests to register

  • I’m wondering if anyone knows of an existing plugin that would solve this problem for me.

    I have a WP site that users have to log in to see (using Members Only). What I would like to do is set up a single “guest” account that a large group of friends/family could use to log into the site. Once they are in, I’d like to give them the option of registering themselves so they have their own account to leave comments with, etc.

    So basically I need an already logged in user to be able to register a new user.

    Any ideas?

  • As far as I know the only way you could do this would be to give administrator rights.
    You can’t register as a new user when you’re already logged in.
    Why not just allow users to register their individual accounts?

    Because they can’t get on the site to register unless they are logged in. …unless there is some way to register without being in/on the blog??
