Just installed NGG the other day and have 12 other galleries working perfectly fine – but one gallery is showing “no images were found”.

When I click on the gallery in manage galleries, it shows images in the gallery. I tried saving the gallery and cleared the image cache in Other Options > Miscellaneous. The gallery page itself does not have any javascript errors in the console.

    What can be the problem?

Also, I made 3 galleries with a single image that click through to my album pages but the images urls are broken. Re-saving the galleries, clearing NGG’s image cache & clearing my browser cache did nothing. The galleries show the image used as their cover photos in them.

    Hi.

I’ve the same problem. Suddenly the news galleries page itself don’t work and show “no images were found”. Other previous galleries works fine. If I go the the gallery I can see all the photos.
Maybe a wrong actualization? I the page don’t appear the old icon. Has changed for another new.

    Any Solution?

I’m concerned that when I recreated one of the galleries that the same thing happened. It could be a plugin conflict too :/

I’ve got the same problem. Finally I made downgrade of plugin to version 2.1.50. Work fine, now.

Thanks, I’ll give that a shot. Still would be good to hear from the devs regarding this.

@echoleaf – The page with the “3 galleries with a single image” appears to working as I would expect it to without issue navigating through the images to the albums, then to the galleries and finally opening the Lightbox effect you have selected.

As to the first issue you raised, this can be from a few different issues. When you review the inserted display is it still showing the source items you selected? There could also be an issue with a custom (NextGEN Legacy?) template being used for the display that may no longer be correctly rendering.

The last option which is more involved to test is for possible conflicts with another active plugin or the current theme. Have you tried deactivating all of your plugins, clearing your browser cache (and site caches if you are using a caching plugin), then reactivating the NextGEN plugin?

If this fixes the problem then it was likely one of the deactivated plugins that was causing an issue. Now, retrace your steps activating each plugin and re-checking to see if the problem returns. If it does then that last activated plugin was probably the one. Keep reactivating and in most cases it is also best to keep checking after each plugin, sometimes there may be more than one plugin on a site that will create an issue. If you do find one (or more) plugins causing this problem we would greatly appreciate your feedback on them so the developers may address them as soon as they can.

Also to note, in rare cases it may be the theme itself that is causing a conflict so while you have just the NextGEN plugin activated you might consider temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress Twenty series themes and see if this corrects the issue as well.

If the problem still persists after all of this we would still want to know, even more so, as we will still want to sort out the issue and may need additional details.

    Thanks!

Switching back to 2.1.5 helped. For the main gallery page with the 3 albums, I just manually used html because the albums linked to the full image and did not click through to the page they were supposed to.

Scratch that – the gallery with no images issue has not been fixed, see here.

When I go to manage the gallery, the images are there. I’m not using a legacy or custom template (which should affect all galleries, no?). Theoretically it could be a plugin conflict since iirc this was the last gallery I created. I’ll get to work on that but it’s adding needless time to the project.

Well, after turning off plugins it worked. However, two of the galleries have a ‘\’ in their name before an apostrophe and refuse to be edited.

@echoleaf – The escape character ( / ) issue is one we are aware of and should have corrected in the next release of NextGEN Gallery.

    Thanks for the updates!
