• Hi

    Have upgraded to Sydney 1.84, but can’t see the menu customisation option “Customisation->Header” as mentioned in 1.84 changelog. After experimenting, I’ve found that the “Customisation->Header” option only appears if the new header update is enabled, it’s not available with the original header. Is this by design?

  • Hi @cpcusteve,

    Thank you for your question.

    Please go to your site’s Customizer > Header > Main Header > click on Style tab. You’ll see the section that reads Top-level menu items. Switch on to enable the options.

    Hope you find the settings you’re looking for there.

    Hi Kharis

    Sorry, didn’t explain myself very well. After update to Sydney 1.84 and using the old style header, the Customizer menu looks like this. Note there is no “Header” option. It’s only when I update to the new style header that the option appears, see here. I would like to continue using the old header, as I prefer how the old menu looks. I can use CSS to style the menu, but would prefer to use the customizer if possible.

    Hope this helps to describe the problem better.

    @cpcusteve,

    Thank you for getting back.

    I can confirm that the complete customization for header is currently only availabe when new header layout is enabled for design purpose.

    Regards,
    Kharis
