Instead of getting the popup settings window the browser page freezes. The test site is not using a cache.

    Hi @misar,

Can you share the site URL so that we can check the issue?

Click Cookie settings in the bar to see the problem.

    Update.
I opened the test site in a private window so that I was asked to accept cookies and the popup worked correctly. There is a link (Manage your consent) to open the bar from our Cookie Policy page (under About us). Then the problem appears as described. This does not happen with 1.8.8 on the main website.

    Hi,

    I’m having the same issue.

Version 1.8.9 is installed on my live site and when it’s enabled, it causes my page to appear completely white/blank. But when I disable the plugin, everything comes back. I did notice in Chrome, a little icon of an eye with a line through it appears. And it says that cookies were blocked. Not sure if this is related to why mine and misar’s websites are not displaying correctly.

    My site is https://www.pacmin.com/

    Thanks in advance!

Posting in case this solves for other posters. Had to remove cookie-law-info-public.js from my CDN to stop this error.

    Hi all,

Could you all, please try clearing the site cache and then reload the page in the browser using Command/Ctrl + Shift + R to do a hard refresh.

None of that makes any difference. Here is a more detailed description of our problem.

We are using the Cookie bar with the shortcode [cookie_settings]. That works correctly in 1.8.9 when the Cookie bar opens automatically.

We also use the shortcode [user_consent_state] on the Cookie Policy page to allow the user to manage their cookie settings. The shortcode displays the line:
Your current state: Consent Accepted. Manage your consent.
where “Manage your consent” is a link which opens the Cookie bar.

With that route to the Cookie bar the shortcode [cookie_settings] works correctly in 1.8.8 but not in 1.8.9.

    Hi @webtoffee,

The hard refresh seemed to do the trick! Thank you!

I didn’t make any adjustments to my CDN (I don’t know how to do that), so I’m glad I didn’t have to go that route.

    Thanks!

    Hi @misar,

We have fixed the bugs in the previous release. Please update to version 1.9.0.

    Let us know if anything.

    Hi @webtoffee,
I updated the test site to 1.9.0 and that fixed the problem.
    Thanks
