1.7.4 caused fatal error

    Rollback to 1.7.3 has resolved the problem for my website for now.

    Here’s the message:

    WordPress has a built-in feature that detects when a plugin or theme causes a fatal error on your site, and notifies you with this automated email.

    In this case, WordPress caught an error with one of your plugins, Super Video Player.

    When seeking help with this issue, you may be asked for some of the following information: WordPress version 6.6.2
    Active theme: Twenty Thirteen (version 4.2)
    Current plugin: Super Video Player (version 1.7.4)
    PHP version 8.2.20-nmm1

    The same issue occurs with another website which is a test site in maintenance mode.

    Active Theme: RCG Forest (Version 4.2.0)
    Other than that it’s the same as above.

    Once upgrade to 1.7.4 had been made, the error would occur once any page of the website (incl. admin area) would be loaded. But:

    Some tests on my test site revealed that your version 1.7.4 conflicts with the plugin “Dynamic Copyright Year”.

    DCY hasn’t had an update in eight months and, according to the plugin page, is compatible up to WordPress version 6.4.5 whereas I’m running 6.6.2.

    So, I guess it was bound to happen and I have to choose which plugin I deem more important. I choose yours. ??

    So, as “1.7.4 caused fatal error” turned out not true and, therefore, might be misleading to other users, you may want to delete this thread.
