Hi – just reporting what seems to be a bug – header not showing on any page with version 1.6.15 – downgraded to 1.6.14 and that got back the header

    Hi @mmoalem,

I don’t have any problem with the latest version of this plugin. Is there any specific steps you can share to replicate this?

In the meantime, please perform the basic troubleshooting by disabling all of the plugins except for this plugin and Elementor. If doing so resolves the issue, it indicates a plugin conflict as the cause.

Please let us know how you go.

    Kind regards,
    Herman ??

hi – tried to disable other plugins but no good. AND now there is another issue – as version 1.6.14 works for me I disabled auto-update yet it keeps auto -updating anyway every night…

also now, after it has auto updated to 1.6.15 I do get the navigation menu in the header but all formating is gone…

this is what the header looks like with 1.6.14 (the way it is intended to look):

and this is how it looks after auto-updating to 1.6.15 overnight:

    Hi @mmoalem,

What theme you are using? I will try to install it on my dev site. Please don’t just mention the name of the theme, but also share the link to download it.

Regarding the auto update, if you already disable it but it keeps doing the auto update, it’s not the plugin. And I believe it’s not WordPress either. Please get in touch with your hosting support and ask about it.

I look forward to hearing from you about the theme you are using.

    Kind regards,

Hi @bsfherman and thanks for the reply

The theme showing as active is Hello Elementor Version: 2.8.1 not sure whats the download link – think its in the main repository…

In regard to the auto update – i found that as I installed wordpress using softaculous it has an auto-upgrade option for plugins which I have now disabled so will see if that solves the problem

I’m also seeing issues, but with menu formatting. When I disable the plugin menu’s return to a “normal” unformatted state. Elementor core downgrade one level partially fixed layouts, but not menus. Menus format from horizontal to vertical and fully expanded.

I think this may be a combination of 2 things. I’ve had to rollback Elementor CORE to 3.15.1 and deactivate this Header & Footer element to get menu’s to be somewhat “normal” just not styled. I rolled this element back to 1.6.13 and still no correction to the issue.

    Hi @mmoalem,

I have no problem with Hello theme. The Header created using this plugin is working just fine. Here is a rough video. Please let me know if I am missing something or you have more information to share related to this.

@iscomputerman, please start your own thread. You are welcome to cross-link your thread with this one, so we are aware of both.

Hi again @bsfherman and thanks for the continious support.

I really have no idea why there is a problem but the fact is that there is one – the header works using 1.6.14 but not using 1.6.15 – and if needed I can take a screen cast showing the result when switching between the two versions.

The following is a complete list of all installed and activated plugins I have on that site:

Even though your site doesn’t contain any sensitive information, it’s not a good thing to do such thing in this forum, as mentioned here.

    Hi @mmoalem

I have reported the same bug some days before with the title “Header&footer no more displayed with Elementor header&footer 1.6.15”. I found two more things : 1) when I deactivate Polylang plugin, my header and footer show again ; 2) there is the same bug with 1.6.16 plugin.
What if you deactivate Polylang ? It is not the true solution, but it is interesting to know if we both get just the same bug.
    Best regards
    Jean

Hi – @jrbernon – interesting – I also have polylang and I thought I have tried deactivating it I must have not checked properly – indeed deactivating it solves the issue…

Like you say – its not really a solution but maybe now we have seemed to identify this clash it can be fixed… – at the moment I am looking at how to convert the header I built into static code and how to use this static code in wordpress as I am not anticipating needing to change the header frequently…

    Hi @mmoalem,

Would you please export the Elementor template you are using as the Header and share it here? I will try to import it on my dev site and see if I am able to replicate this.

@jrbernon, FYI, I just responded to your thread.

I look forward to hearing from you.
