1.4.9 Update broken, removed all my Enhanced Text Widgets

I just updated from 1.4.8 (7?) to 1.4.9, and all of my widgets disappeared. Although ETW showed up in plugins, it did not appear in the list of widgets, and all of my ETW sidebar widgets were gone. I first tried uninstalling-reinstalling, but that had no effect.
I was then able to uninstall (again) and then re-install 1.4.7 from a local backup I had. Once I did, all my ETW widgets returned.
I have a staging site, and tried the same procedure, with the same results: with 1.4.9, all widgets are gone, and “Enhanced Text” widget does not appear in the list of widgets. Both sites are on WordPress 5.4.
I use the widget in 5-6 important places, including ads and on the home page, and they were all gone. I like the plugin for the ability to Title the widgets without the title showing on the site, makes it much easier to keep track of on the widgets page, but damn, can’t have this happen again.

I am OUTRAGED by this SERIOUS issue!
I have lost ALL my Enahnced Text Widget customizations! Rolling back to a previous version is not restoring any of the widgets I had in place! I was using this plugin heavily for my site layout.
How in the world is this possible????Are all of my texts gone???
I am outraged!

That being said, I will be VERY hesitant in the future to update this plugin… It’s a very scary thing to lose all the customization.
