Pardot plugin version 1.4.10 is now available! Thank you for your patience on this release. We’ll have further news about this plugin soon.

1.4.10 is a minor maintenance release that integrates the tested hotfix shared with the community several months back.

If you have been affected by these cache keys causing slowdowns or fatal errors, consider manually deleting the _pardot_cache_keys and _pardot_transient_keys rows (after a full backup).

  • Unsecure content causing an issue

    Line 36 in pardot-settings-class.php
    const POST_ROOT_URL = 'https://go.pardot.com';

    Shouldn’t this be https:// ?

Hey @rimfya, what’s the actual issue you’re experiencing?

Outputting the form with the shortcake, it renders an iframe with an src that uses https://

    (@cliffseal)

@rimfya Have you tried enabling the “Enable HTTPS?” setting?

    Ha.

    Oh.

    Never mind…

We are getting a timeout (502), reverted back and working for now though.

Any assistance would be GREATLY appreciated!

    Glad to help, @illumination2025.

    1. Are you able to get error logs through your host? Getting the error message can often help in debugging.

    2. Did you clear out the cache keys I mentioned at the top of this post?

I am going to try to do tonight, and will let you know. Thanks, Cliff.

Well, I implemented, and unfortunately didn’t work. Rolled back and it worked again.

We did not get anything in the error logs, but WPEngine ran a test and this is what they found in regard to pardot plugin:

“This is showing that the pi.pardot.com took 173 seconds and the Pardot_API::get_forms request to almost 10 seconds:”

I have screenshots of their interface, but that’s the ‘bottom line’, where I then went and rolled it back and worked.

Sorry, that probably isn’t that helpful, but that’s how I cam to discover what appears to be the ’cause’ of the issue, although perhaps there is some other conflict going on with some other aspect of this site.

Thanks, and hope you are had a great weekend.

Thanks for the report and general kindness. ??

That’s strange that there wouldn’t be an error in the log during a timeout.

That said, since I know WPEngine uses some specific forms of object caching, I would recommend also clearing out their cache and seeing if that works. The DB rows I recommend deleting may be stuck in their caches instead.

Yes, I cleared out the top five items, the others were negligible, as that is part of the process I went through them identifying the parot plugin having issues. Again, reverting back works just fine, so no clue at this point.

Any helps / thoughts would be wonderful. We are also checking the salesforce side… covering our basis. Have not heard back from them, since last week.

    Thanks again!

Thanks, @illumination2025. I’m not sure how to troubleshoot further without an error message that should be in your logs. :/

Pardot Plugin Help – On the last Pardot Plugin update, the Pardot plugin prevents access to WordPress’ WIDGET menu in the Dashboard. The only workaround is to deactivate the Pardot plugin and then click WIDGETS under APPEARANCE to make necessary edits. Once done, you then activate the Pardot Plugin.

This is a temporary fix but a real update to fix this issue is necessary and imperative.
