• I have a donation form for a set donation that allows donor to enter a custom amount. I have the form ‘set donation’ as $0. If the form is saved and I put the form on a page, the form shows the $0 and acts as expected.

However, upon returning to wordpress dashboard and opening the form to edit it, $1 automatically appears in the ‘set donation’ space. Changing it back to zero keeps things working as above, but it has to be switched back each time the form is opened for editing.

It seems there should(could) be a checkbox that would state one does not want a set donation of any given amount (i.e. zero). I’m sure my usage isn’t the intent of the ‘set donation’ option, but I haven’t figured out another way (yet) to have an ’empty’ donation box where the donor can put in whatever amount they want.

    Thanks for any thoughts.

    Hi [email protected]

Thank you for being so thorough with your support topic. We made the switch from the default donatio amount from $0 to $1 in a past version. However, it should allow you to still save the $0 donation amount if you choose to… here’s the related issue: https://github.com/WordImpress/Give/issues/320

This sounds like a possible bug – here’s an issue I opened to investigate: https://github.com/WordImpress/Give/issues/529

We can continue the discussion over there if you don’t mind. Nice website by the way and that’s a great cause!

    Thanks Devin,

Yes, it does save it. It just pops back to $1 each time I revisit the form through the dashboard. The public facing form seems to keep the $0 once it is set and saved though. If I find any info I’ll jump on the github issue. Thanks for the feedback Devin. You guys don’t have too bad of a product/cause either ??
