Hi. No data is showing up for whatsthatbug.com since Jul 10. I had been using a couple of outdated plugins for adsense and analytics, so I replaced them both with Google’s site kit plugin figuring that would fix it. Everything is showing as green and connected in the wordpress dashboard for site kit. When I look at the source html for the page, I see https://www.googletagmanager.com/gtag/js?id=UA-210329-3, which is the correct property, and I see the gtags set with the correct UA. Is there something else that should be loading and isn’t? I am running wp-rocket for site optimization. The site is still generating adsense revenue and using roughly 9GB of data a day. So traffic isn’t actually down.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Thanks for reaching out. From checking your site using https://tagassistant.google.com I can see that that your Analytics visits are being tracked. Having said that I don’t see a standard Site kit placed Analytics snippet, possibly due to some type of minification or other optimization.

With that can you open your Google Analytics reach time report and share whether you see any live traffic when visiting your site form a Chrome browser incognito window (while not logged in)?

If you don’t see any live traffic please temporary deactivate WP Rocket before checking once more after reloading your site while not logged in from the same browser incognito window.

Let me know the outcome once you perform the above checks.

Should we determine you’re experiencing a WP Rocket minification issues you can apply the below exclusion on your minification screen within WP Rocket:
    site-kit/dist/assets/js/(.*).js

    Hello @whatsthatbugcom ,

Just checking-in here, have you started seeing traffic on Site Kit dashboard? Let us know if you are still unable to see any stats.

    Best Regards,

Hey, James. I wanted to open up the ticket again long enough to apologize for ghosting you when you tried to help me. I thought the problem might go away once I migrated and upgraded from WP 4.9 to 5.8, and that took longer than expected. But it’s done, and data is reporting properly. Thank you.

    Hi @whatsthatbugcom,

No problem at all, great to hear that your data is recording correctly now after upgrading. While I can’t be sure of the cause if you do encounter the same error be sure to let us know!
