• I’ve just upgraded to v0.9.5 and have fatal errors like a number of other people here. I get HTTP 500 for any call to the website, front-end and wp-admin.

I installed the update (from v0.9.4.1) then, on the plugin screen, after it said it was successfully installed, clicked “Purge caches” from the top menu.

    My error is:
Fatal error: Class 'W3_Config' not found in /wp-content/plugins/wptouch/core/class-cache-smash.php on line 96

I enabled debugging to get this error but do not have access to my debug.log file at the moment so can’t tell yet if there’s more errors.

I have temporarily ‘fixed’ it by renaming the wp-content/plugins/w3tc-total-cache folder (to manually deactivate it, as I have some access to the webserver), and by uploading v0.9.4.1 from the Plugin page on wordpress.com

v4.3.1 of WPTouch fixes this issue – it checks if W3Total Cache version is greater than 0.9.5 and then changes the logic if it is.

@deesc1 you need to update WPTouch to it’s latest version to fix this. If you can’t get into your wp-admin, you will need to go onto your web server (using FTP or cpanel if your web server has this – you should have some information of how to do this from when you first bought your web space) and rename the /wp-content/plugins/W3TotalCache folder (to “_W3TotalCache”) and your Yoast SEOfolder (I don’t know wha tthe name will be, but it will be something like “Yoast SEO”). This will have the effect of disabling those two plugins. You will then be able to access wp-admin as normal. Update WPTouch from the Plugins menu, then on your web server rename the W3TotalCache and Yoast SEO folders back to what they were originally. Then, all 3 plugins will work and your site should work as before.

I’m also getting errors. In my case it is this:

/public_html/wp-content/plugins/w3-total-cache/.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory

So it seems it is looking for .php in the w3-total-cache plugin directory. And just to be sure, there is no .php file in the plugin directory… as I fully expected.

There was no WP-touch install on this site. Like others, it killed wp-admin to a white screen and same with website. I had to rename the W3 plugin directory and a couple or few other files in the wp-content folder to clean up errors.

@gaws — Thank you SO much for helping me. Called GoDaddy and they helped me get into the plug-ins. Renamed the WPTouch plugin (which turned out to be the problem), and my site came back! Instead of going back in and renaming it (because I forgot to write down the original name…) I just deactivated it, then re-installed it (the latest version) and everything appears to be fine now. Was really freaking out there for a while since this is the first incident like this in 2 1/2 years of blogging.

    Hi all,

I have this one and now I am unable to access anything.

Fatal error: Call to undefined method W3_Config::get_cache_option() in …../plugins/wptouch/core/class-cache-smash.php on line 99

Any help would be appreciated. :/
