?? The Events Calendar 4.9.2
-
Howdy folks!
We’re happy to announce that The Events Calendar 4.9.2 officially released just moments ago. This is a maintenance release, which is a fancy way of saying we squashed a lot of bugs, including some high priority ones we know many of you will appreciate.
So, what’s new in this release? Glad you asked, because I was getting to the change log:
- Fix – Ensure keyword and location searches in the Tribe Bar always work, even without a date being selected
- Fix – Make backwards-compatibility handling more robust when dealing with classes that do not exist in the older plugin versions
- Fix – Correct position of arg in
filter_var
function of email validation in Validate.php (thanks for flagging this @dharmin) - Tweak – Filter the event creation meta before checking it for coherency in the Event Repository class
- Tweak – Reduce file size by removing .po files and directing anyone creating or editing local translations to translate.www.remarpro.com
- Tweak – Optimize the autoloader function to eliminate duplicate path checking
Next up, we’re making progress on the next major feature release for The Events Calendar and can’t wait to get that out to you. In the meantime, please update safely as you would with any other WordPress, theme or plugin update and be sure to let us know if you run into any other issues.
We have a Known Issues page for you to reference so you can see what’s already on our radar for a fix.
Check out a detailed description of all of the changes in this release in our official release notes here ?? https://theeventscalendar.com/announcing-the-events-calendar-4-9-2-and-events-calendar-pro-4-7-2/
Happy calendaring, everyone!
