We’re happy to announce that The Events Calendar 4.9.1 officially released just moments ago. This is a maintenance release, which is a fancy way of saying we squashed a lot of bugs, including some high priority ones we know many of you will appreciate.
So, what’s new in this release? Glad you asked, because I was getting to the change log:
- Fix – Prevent recurring events “see all” page from throwing 404 when series starts in the past
- Fix – Add backwards compatibility for
eventDiplay
usage aroundlist
andday
only showing upcoming events - Fix – Ensure that the Events List Widget displays events until their end date has passed
- Fix – Ensure cron handles Event Aggregator featured image processing while importing
- Tweak – Add values for the JSON-LD object to avoid Google console errors; fields added:
offers.availability
offers.category
offers.priceCurrency
offers.validFrom
performer
- Tweak – Add
tribe_events_cost_unformatted
filter to allow WPML support for WooCommerce Multilingual - Language – 0 new strings added, 168 updated, 0 fuzzied, and 5 obsoleted
Next up, we’re making progress on the next major feature release for The Events Calendar and can’t wait to get that out to you. In the meantime, please update safely as you would with any other WordPress, theme or plugin update and be sure to let us know if you run into any other issues.
