    Howdy folks!

We’re happy to announce that The Events Calendar 4.8.1 officially released just moments ago. This is a maintenance release, which is a fancy way of saying we squashed a lot of bugs, including some high priority ones we know many of you will appreciate.

So, what’s new in this release? Glad you asked, because I was getting to the change log:

    • Feature – Introduced new “(do not override)” default post status for Eventbrite imports in Event Aggregator. This preserves events’ original statuses from Eventbrite.com upon import (e.g., “draft” events will not be automatically set to “publish” upon import)
    • Fix – Make sure the setting for “Default mobile view” is respected. Thanks to Kathleen, Tim and others for reporting this!
    • Fix – Apply block closer to price block
    • Tweak – Added new filter tribe_aggregator_new_event_post_status_before_import to allow for custom handling of an event’s post status before EA an import is completed
    • Tweak – Added filters: tribe_events_admin_js_ajax_url_data
    • Tweak – Unload Image Widget Plus version 1.0.2 or older to Prevent it from creating fatals on The Events Calendar
    • Fix – Improve conditionals on Tribe__Timezones::generate_timezone_string_from_utc_offset to return only string timezones
    • Language – 7 new strings added, 139 updated, 0 fuzzied, and 1 obsoleted

Next up, we’re making progress on the next major feature release for The Events Calendar and can’t wait to get that out to you. In the meantime, please update safely as you would with any other WordPress, theme or plugin update and be sure to let us know if you run into any other issues.

We have a Known Issues page for you to reference so you can see what’s already on our radar for a fix.

Check out a detailed description of all of the changes in this release in our official release notes here ?? https://theeventscalendar.com/maintenance-release-for-the-week-of-11-february-2019/

    Happy calendaring, everyone!

  • Since updating all the events have disappeared!!!

Congratulations – another buggy release – this release brings me the gift of not being able to assign locations or organisers to events any longer

Since updating, I can no longer edit the content for existing events. The content for existing events no longer exists in the classic editor.

#BUG!: can not use the event blocks

    wordpress 5.1
the-events-calendar 4.8.2 (Activated Block Editor for Events in SETTTINGS )
    theme Twenty Seventeen

    can anybody reproduce this ?

    misunderstanded

I can no longer add new events as well as posts

After update from 4.8.1 to 4.8.2 I cannot longer import images using csv. The aggregator imports all Data fields, but only the first featured imaage. Deleting the first row in the csv file it will import the next featured image. a bit nasty with >100 images.

Hi everybody! Please note that we don’t generally monitor sticky posts/release announcements like this one.

If you are still experiencing problems, please create a new topic of your own: every problem is unique and multiplexing between different users, issues and questions from within the same forum thread is generally a path toward confusion and frustration.

    Thanks for understanding ??
