Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about wpDiscuz. We do believe this is a misconfiguration issue, and wpDiscuz doesn’t deserve such a low rating.

Please confirm that you’ve tested email notifications using another (not your admin) account with a valid and different email address. Saying different I mean the email address of the account you’re testing should not be the WordPress administrator email address.

We’re currently helping you address other issues and as far as I see most of theme are already resolved.

The level of evaluation depends on the subjective feelings of users! Most users will give it high marks when it works properly, including me. But it’s hard to give good reviews to people who can’t function properly! Maybe I configured it wrong, but I’ve posted on the forum for help. But I will only reply to a post with a troubleshooting guide, and then I will reply. The one-star review is based on many aspects. First, it is not working properly. The second is that the feedback is not helpful (to put it bluntly, it means that you don’t pay attention at all.) In other words, one star is not just an evaluation of your product.

Thank you for the details; however, you didn’t answer my question. I need to make sure you’ve not tested the plugin with your account. So, you were waiting for an email from your email to your email, and the plugin worked correctly by not sending it.

The sender email address is the WordPress admin email address, this is the WordPress core feature. And the email of admin account in most cases is the same. So you should have guess that you trying to get notification from your email address to your email address. I assume this was the case.

I used several other mailboxes to test, and it seems that most functions are working properly. But there are still some minor issues. I’ll look for help on the forum later. If it goes well, I will give high comments!
