    Hello Team,

Same as other topics : Failed to generate Critical CSS.

The environment is Azure Web App hosted.

Now the application does not want to start anymore, even after a backup restore

I see there’s a problem with your Jetpack Connection which is required for the plugin to work properly. The XMLRPC request is saying that “jetpack.verifyAction is missing from available XML-RPC methods” and the REST API is saying something similar, that the route is not found.

Can you confirm if Jetpack shows it is connected?

I see the w3-total-cache is installed too, and that might be interfering with some of the functionality. Can you disable that temporarily and test Boost again? Critical CSS may work now.

    Hello @donncha,

Finally the backup worked, but it cannot anymore finish to generate critical CSS.

When I activate Boost, I get the error message you said “URL missing, the route is not found…”

About connection it is written : Connected site. Some features require authentication.

You are right, w3-total-cache is installed too since year or something,

I disactivated but I still cannot even activate anymore Boost (connection is now broken)

    Hi @jlou65535,

It looks like the Jetpack connection is currently completely interrupted. I’d recommend trying a full Jetpack reinstall and reconnect following the steps in this guide:

    https://jetpack.com/support/reconnecting-reinstalling-jetpack/

Please give this a try and let us know how it goes.

    Thanks @alinclamba
Then I started to remove Boost and W3 plugins.

But I am now wondering, as I am also using Azure Front Door, if it makes sense to combine all those solutions.

    Best,

    JL

    Hi @jlou65535,

Thanks for your update! I’m not very familiar with Azure Front Door, so can’t make any recommendations about it, but since your focus is on Jetpack Boost, let’s try to resolve the issue related to Critical CSS generation.

It seems like the Jetpack connection is still interrupted, which is critical for Boost to function properly. Please follow these steps to try reconnecting:

    1. Reinstall Jetpack: This can help resolve any connection issues. You can follow our guide here: Reinstall Jetpack, in case you didn’t try that yet.
    2. Check for any conflicts: You’ve already disabled W3 Total Cache and you could also temporarily disable any other caching tools (such as Azure Front Door) to check if they’re interfering with the connection or the Critical CSS generation.

Once the connection is restored, try enabling Jetpack Boost again and see if the Critical CSS error is resolved.

Let us know how it goes or if you need further help!
