I’m sorry to hear about the issue.
The plugin does not remove images from site so if they disappeared, there must be some unexpected issue happening, such as for example: some cache issue or conflict with another plugin.
There are few essential things to do in such cases:
1. make sure to clear all caches on site/server
2. make sure that you are not using some kind of “offload” for images
3. don’t use Lazy Load feature enabled in multiple plugins at the same time (e.g. the one in Smush and one in some caching plugin or theme) – if there are more than one
But if none of that is the case, we’d need to take a closer look. I don’t see any topic about this issue opened by you yet – we’d like to help with this to get it solved and fixed for you so if you start a topic, we’ll assist you to make it work.
