Can you tell me what version of PHP you’re on, and whether it has the multibyte string functions installed? What actually happens when you use that — how does it fail?
My server https://srv34622.ht-test.ru/info.php
After saving the settings, the plugin works, but the page with the settings in the control panel is not displayed.
That’s a new one! I’ll do some testing and try and find why. I was expecting it was a problem with the operation of the plugin, rather than the settings page; I’ve never had a report of that before.
Thanks for the info; it might be a bit before I have anything to report.
Can’t reproduce this yet, but would like some more info.
– does this happen regardless of what text you place in the field, even if its just a few characters? (E.g. тест)
– does this happen when you place Russian text in other fields in the WP to Twitter settings, or just these?
– does the same thing happen with other multibyte characters, such as Greek? (E.g. δοκιμ?)
Can you try the Greek word I supplied in the previous message? Also, try adding a Russian phrase into another setting, such as the prefix field, and let me know if it has the same result.
