I got this message while trying to update to 4.3.1: error:0D0890A1:asn1 encoding routines:ASN1_verify:unknown message digest algorithm.

Previously I have tried to update two plug-ins and get the same (or similar) error message. For example: An error occurred while updating All In One WP Security: Download failed. error:0D0890A1:asn1 encoding routines:ASN1_verify:unknown message digest algorithm

There are similar threads from Yahoo host users so I am assuming there is some incompatibility.

WordPress 4.3

We are getting this error when we try to re-install wordpress 4.3, update any theme/plugins. We are not getting anywhere with Yahoo small business. Does someone know how to solve this issue?

Uploading Theme to another host

I’m designing a site for a client using the free wordpress theme Craft Cart. The site looks great and everything is working on my sample site here: https://edubgraphicdesign.com/quiltcouture/

But the sidebars are smaller at the bottom and the gallery isn’t working on the main site here: https://quiltcouture.com/blog1/
Also, the weirdest thing is that when I move the widgets around, it doesn’t save them. I have to log out and then log in again.

She uses yahoo hosting and I use justhost…so maybe I’m thinking it’s the host, but wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions.

Using pretty links with Yahoo host

I have done a lot of reading and am just about to switch hosting companies as currently I use Yahoo. I want to use pretty links, but cannot. I can only use the default links as I have no access to .htaccess file (not permitted by Yahoo). I tried creating one but am blocked from uploading it via FTP to my root directory (not allowed message). Is there any other work around other then having to insert /index.php before the pretty link? I have tried to research this for the last 7 days and tried tons of plug ins, none of which allows me to use pretty links (most want to modify the .htaccess file). Before I jump ship from Yahoo, I thought I’d try one last plea for a solution. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

My Site Won’t Load

My site, machorhino.com, uses WordPress 3.0 with Yahoo as my host but continually has problems loading and I get “Error Establishing Database Connection” several times a day. I have about 600 posts in my blog. Is that too many? I continually have to “repair database” with myphpadmin and that helps it until I add a new post. Then I’ve got to continually repeat the process which is very frustrating. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Existing Blog Now Demands WordPress Installation

Hello.

I have my own website that is hosted by Yahoo! Thru that site I have two blogs. For each blog I use WordPress. I have done so with one of them for a few months, and the other for a couple of weeks.

My concern is that the second blog no longer appears to be there. When directly typing the address for which it resides (with an empty cache) I am immediately redirected to the admin site and am being demanded that I install WordPress.

It is already installed. Oddly, my other blog is fine so . Here are the links:
