I had to create the sitemap_index.xml by hand and now when I go to the URL with the sitemap: https://mysite.com/sitemap_index.xml I get a message that:

viewing the source it appears that the XML is correct, however i see a 404 error for https://<domain>/sitemap.xsl

i am running w3tc with disable WP for 404 errors of static files as well and have already added the current rewrite rules for WP-SEO for the sitemaps feature to work in NGINX

have i missed a new Nginx rewrite rule that needs adding?
