Problems with Theme Installation

Hello everyone,

I have just tried to install a Theme from ThemeForest.com and this is the error I get:

Installing Theme from uploaded file: themeforest-9404366-xoxo-beautifully-elegant-wedding-wordpress-theme (1).zip
Unpacking the package…
Installing the theme…
The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.
Theme install failed.

I unzipped the theme and the “style.css” file is actually there, but I’m not able to open it.
I would appreciate any guidance.

Rename sidebars from xoxo to sidebar_primary

I’m a happy and satisfied user of the Boilerplate theme, so first a short thank you for this no-nonsense theme I can easily work with.

However, in every child theme I cling onto it, I have a need of changing the sidebar files. You gave all the sidebar classes ‘xoxo’.
1. ‘xoxo’ reminds me of the way little Asian girls greet each other.
2. I cannot style specific sidebars when they’re all only named ‘xoxo’.
3. What does ‘xoxo’ stand for anyway? Is it a word like foo and bar?

I would like to see the template improved to have id’s for the sidebars. Now, I name them ‘#sidebar_primary’ and ‘#sidebar_secondary’ etc. to match the naming in the Widget section. Could you please add that?

Also, could the ‘xoxo’ be renamed to something like ‘sidebar’?

sidebar not working

Hello! I’m not sure what’s going on with my theme. I added some custom sidebars to it – I can see them and modify them in the widgets area of the control panel.

But it seems no matter what I do I am getting the following where the sidebar should be:

I’ve read through the forums and searched on Google and have seen a couple of items on editing the xoxo blogroll class, but I cannot find xoxo blogroll in any of my WordPress files so I can edit it. If someone can just tell me where to find it so I can edit it, that would be great. All I want to do is to be able to put bullets or something next to each link in my blogroll as there is currently not much distinction between links. I know the code to do it, but I just can’t find it.

Changing color css xoxo blogroll widgets

Im sorry if this question already has come up here, but i diddnt find it. Well, in my website i can change everything, i know about css, html, php and other things. However, i can’t change the links on the blogroll (links). In the source code, the css class is “xoxo blogroll”, but i have been trying to put that class in style.css. Can you guys give me a hand? This is the source code…
