Thank you for this wonderfull plugin! I was trying to see if the xml_sitemap works. If I click on the link for it to open (in General/Functions), I get this error page (in Dutch):

I already contacted my webhosts, but they told me it is a plugin error. Their xml-engine is working fine?

What am I doing wrong?

I am now confused and I do not know how to solve this.

The sitemap_index.xml page throws an error “error on line 3 at column 6: XML declaration allowed only at the start of the document” on Chrome, and keeps loading in Firefox with an orangish red box displayed. I have checked and function.php and wp-config.php and there are no whitespaces or empty lines at the beginning or the end of them. Please help me fix this.

The rest of the page is empty. Regenerating the maps doesn’t work either.

Any idea what is causing this?

What i tried.

locate any whitespaces after the ?> tag or at the end of the document. I looked in all the .php files of the theme including function.php

i looked in the WP functions.php and config.php

i disabled all my plugins

i tried using wejnswpwhitespacefix.php solution.

none of all these things worked. Anyone else with a briliant suggestion ?

I’ve gone through all my php files and can’t find any blank lines before or after php commands.

I’ve used the rss-fix plugin. It tells me…

No found blank lines from your wordpress php files, now your feed is ok!

… but clearly that is incorrect. Or at least maybe it’s true, but there is some other problem.

Here is my blog: https://www.rockandrollwritein.com Guess I’m at my wits end. I need the RSS capability, but no idea what else to try. Is there a manual way to set this up?

I have a problem with RSS on my blog.
It doesent work – i get an error like this:

I’ve deactivated all of my plugins – still doesen’t work, I’ve deleted all new lines after ?> in any file that has anything to do with the RSS thingy.

What should I do ?
