Is there an option to make the default setting “off” that I’m just missing?
(The site in question is https://LaughterHouse.org – After upgrading a while ago, TinyMCE stopped working, I’ve tried all the fixes proposed in these forums, but without any results. I eventually installed the WYSI-Wordpress plugin, which requires that the check box be unticked. I’ve made the changes for all the existing users with a MySQL query, but I’d like everything to work for new users ‘out of the box’.)
Thanks!

Any one can help to solve this problem.
Thanks.

Thank you!
AND
a) strike through and subscripts
b) justification, indent, spacing
c) images (with positioning)
d) TABLES with cell spanning and all
I have a bunch of html-illiterate editors that need to produce formatted text, including tables, without coding skills.
]]>my Wysi-Wordpress (Wysiwyg for WordPress 2.0+) plugin has gone berserk.
moved my WP 2.0.2 blog to a new server (same domain name) and everything’s perfect like before except that:
1. At the top of every page (including in admin area) this chunk of messages appear:
‘ . ‘>>Insert Image<< ‘; } else { print ‘
‘ . ” . ‘>>Insert Image<<
‘; } } // The popup needs some CSS and javascript in the head of the page function ib_print_insert_image_head() { print ‘ ‘; } // Add actions to call the function add_action(‘admin_head’, ‘ib_print_insert_image_head’); if ($ib_use_hack) { add_action(‘edit_form_advanced_buttons’, ‘ib_print_insert_image_link’); } else { add_action(‘admin_footer’, ‘ib_print_insert_image_link’); } // ex: set tabstop=3: ?>
2. posts are showing up in edit mode with the WYSI-Wordpress editing interface!!!
all of that goes away soon as i deactivate the plugin and comes back when i activate. have tried fresh re-installing the plugin to no avail.
can someone please advise what could have gone wrong please? without this plugin, i would be very very crushed.
thanks so much
]]>I have changed the rest of the code of the blog template and style sheet to direction RTl. When the WYSI is off, it all works well. Once it is on, the punctuation behaves like LTR. It seems to veto the rest of the blog’s RTL direction. Any suggestion?
Help is greatly appreciated. Greatly.
]]>Download Wysi-Wordpress wysiwyg
——————————————-
This plugin replaces the default WordPress wysiwyg(what you see is what you get) editor with a more advanced version.
Advantages over the “built-in” WordPress editor:
1. Built in image uploads and thumbnailing. Add images as thumbnails, full-size images, or thumbnails with a link to the full size, AND MORE!
2. Extended emoticon support.
3. dictionary.com dictionary, thesaurus, and encyclopedia support.
4. A few extra text effects- underline, text color, etc.
No need to alter any of WordPress’ core files, so the plugin is easy to install and should be pretty much “upgrade-proof”.
