wrong uploads directory in error message

When I initiate a migration I get this error.

Uploads directory not writable?— the following directory is not writable:?/home/a5qls5gso4h7/public_html/[redacted]/wp-content/uploads. Update the file permissions for this folder to enable backups and export migrations.

But a5qls5gso4h7 is not the directory of the site. The Diagnostic Info & Error Log knows this, it shows the correct one in site_path and elsewhere. The actual uploads directory has the correct permissions.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Launched WordPress/Bluehost website in 2005. However, left it unattended for the last several years. Now trying to dust it off and get it up to speed.

WordPress/Dashboard error msg: “Your backup folder is NOT writable. To correct this issue, make the folder?/home2/joshuaon/public_html/wp-content/backup-db?writable.”

In File Manager, I see that my site is at /home4/joshuaon. I searched on home2/joshuaon: “No records found.”

Don’t know how to find the folder that needs to be changed. And if I did, don’t know how to make it writable.

We get an error when save our key after saving our activation key. I have already tried a complete deactivation and removal, ensuring all tables were removed prior to re-installation. Below is the error;

WordPress Upload Directory Writable Permission

Any idea how to make the “Upload folder not writable permission” error go away? I have tried everything the internet has suggested and nothing is working. I’ve even messed with my server PHP extensions. Although, I may not have checked the right one. Thanks!

I am trying to upload images from activity but I am getting this popup msg
“Server error. Upload directory isn’t writable.”

The uploading from WP media library though works fine.

WP Version 5.8.1
BuddyPress Activity Plus Version 1.0.7

hi
im using dulicator to deploy some wordpress page
i prepair a virtual machine with centos 7 for hosting this site
and i prepair everything like lamp and configuring apache and phpmyadmin
but when i use https://ip address/installer.php dulicator says one requirement is nit ok and fails
root directory is failed .
in the details it says :
path :/var/www/html
[fail] is writable by php

i give the root dir every permission that needs
and i run this command
chown apache:apache -R /var/www/html
chmod 777 -R /var/www/html

i khow that 777 is not good but even by this permission it doesnt work

1. I have no access to the page Settings / Frontend / Frontend Styles.

I get the following error message:

To edit colours opentickets-community-edition/assets/css/frontend/event-base.less and event.css need to be writable.

But all these files are writable. What could it be?

2. I have no meta-boxes for the “featured image”, so I cannot add an image to the event or to the venue. The theme supports featured images. (I fixed this problem by editing the table wp-postmeta manually, but with meta-boxes it would be easier )

Keep getting the message:
“Uploads folder /wpallexport must be writable”
after installing the plugin.

Not sure where this folder is or where to create it if it doesn’t exist. Does anyone know?

Yes, I realize I have a very old version of WordPress. We’re trying to export all our posts to move off the site and don’t want to break the current site by updating. Maybe that’s the issue.
