Updates hang again

On my prior version of WP and now with the new WP4.2.3 the update plugin function works fine until it starts wpSlimstat update then the website stays stuck in maintenance mode and the update fails to complete.

The only way I’ve been able to fix is to rename the maintenance.php file to get access again. Disabling WPSlimStat doesn’t prevent the problem. Have not been able to update the plugin since 4.1.1. I’m deleting the plugin but thought the dev should know.

Wp slimstat started giving me this error Friday night 4/17/2015.

I tried a different theme and turned off all plugins but the error is persisting.

No one is being tracked since Friday night.

Any other suggestions to fix this are welcome..

Possible brute force fixes include:
I would uninstall and reinstall, but trying to keep the data that I have.
I also could restore the entire site to an earllier time, but would loose many changes I have made.

Hello!
For some reasons my wpSlimstat plugin stopped working today (1.05.13) – everything seems to be fine except it doesnt show new visits. In overview I can see old visits from last month.

I use WP Super Cache and when I turn JS mode off I see new visits, otherwise not. really weird, it was working yesterday
