I took the back of wp-include and wp-content as we were moving our hosting from managed WordPress to CPanel Linux hosting.
I created the primary and secondary domain. The Secondary domain was the place where i have to restore my old backup. So, I did it.
But my website www.capturedmemories.co.in is not showing the previous content. I mean it’s not showing anything at all. I have checked the directories all the content are there. What could be the possible reason for the same? I am trying to solve this problem but I didn’t get any solution. I made a contact with my hosting provider also but no of them was able to help me.
Please if anyone can help me.

Hi
I accessed my dashboard and wanted to see one of my articles and I found myself on the setup WP page. It’s like I have to set up a new MySQL DB.
All my files and articles are still there but not accessible through the website but via dashboard.
I went to my Cpanel and I’ve seen that there is a new WP folder that has been installed in the public folder. I was surprised as I did nothing for that.
I checked the php file wp-config.php and everything is fine there, BUT there is another wp-config-sample.php with no set up for the DB.

I don’t know how to fix this and how this happened.

I’m not a geeky person and my english skills seem poor when I try to speak geeky language. Please help
!

Having Problems with the contents of a Theme

I contacted the forum from where I received the theme and they said to update the theme and that would fix the problem, however when I updated it the problem remained.

This is what they said may be the problem;

“It sounds like your server is set up so that the permissions for the wp-content folder can not be overwritten. IE, when you try and install the theme updates the permissions says ‘no you can not write over these files’. You should contact your hosting provider and ask them to change the wp-content folder so that you can write to files/write over them from wordpress.”

So I contacted my hosting provider and they said;

“Themes are stored in the /wp-content/themes directory. You have the ability to overwrite those files using ftp.”

I don’t use an ftp I upload straight onto wordpress.

“Then you have to work within WordPress’ setup. If there’s a feature that allows you to do this from the Dashboard, you would need to locate the steps using it in the www.remarpro.com support forums.”

So here I am! Any ideas what I should do next?

Organizing WP-Content Folder

So I have 250,000 files in my wp-content folder. I can no longer do auto updates because php times out before it can load everything. I understand that there is a way to organize this folder into months or something like that, is this something you can do after you have this many files? We started running the site (stupidcelebrities.net) in 2006, I don’t think this option was available then, at least I didnt see it.

Any help would be great, I am in desperate need of reorganizing!

uploaded theme but cant find the wp.content

Installing Theme from uploaded file: fotofolio-2.zip
Unable to locate WordPress Content directory (wp-content).

That is the message I get when downloading is finished. So I presume Newbie big time that I have made a mistake in the setting up or installation of this blog.

Also when I use my url to go to the page https://odigosphotography.iblogger.org

this is the message I get

blog/

then I have to click the link blog/ to go to my site.

Help please this is making me a old lady.

Hey guys i hope you can all help me as godaddy.com helped move my page from the wordpress directory to the root and during this process totally ruined my page.

At the moment i am able to access my original page www.thenynightlife.com/wordpress
However, none of my pages except for the homepage work. And the wp-admin ends up with this when i log in:
