No dashboard after updating to wp 4.1

Hello after i updated to wp 4.1 my dashboard disapeard and i′v got this message:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_json_encode() in /……../wp-includes/theme.php on line 1960

I dont know how to solve this problem. I want all my stuff to stay at the pages and posts and pics in gallery plugins and so on. How can i solve this? I can see the site but i cant access the dashboard.

Multisite wp4.1 cannot set sub domain

Hi,

I installed wp4.1 and clicked to have multisite set up.

According to the documentation, I am suppose to set up a wildcard domain…done, good. Then I am suppose to go click on sub domain in the network settings. I cannot find the checkbox.

Now when I want to set up a new site, it is ‘forcing’ me to use subdirectory…have I missed something?

The document also says to set this up in the root directory but my install sits in the public_html folder…is that the problem? Should I move all the files to my root directory?

Any help will be very much appreiciated.

Problem accessing WordPress Admin on localhost

I have started building a website using WPv4.1 running on localhost (WAMP). I’m a complete novice, so have been gently feeling my way, but now have a major problem – I can’t seem to access the WordPress site admin. If I type in HTTP://localhost/wordpress, or HTTP://localhost/wordpress/wp-admin, all I get is the site itself, without the ability to manage or edit it; I think I must have upset something somewhere. Any help greatly appreciated as I have put in a lot of work and want to regain control.
I’m using the Customizr and child theme and a few WP plugins, and think that the WordPress community is absolutely fantastic – Thank you all!

Insert/Edit Link and Add Media links not working

Hello,

I am having a few problems with the product pages on my website, for reference I have WooCommerce as the e-commerce plugin, I’m using the theme Replete and this is one of the product pages that I am working on – https://velopex.com/en/product/extra-x/

The Insert/Edit Link button isn’t active when I highlight text within any of the text boxes, and if I click it anyway nothing happens and its as if it activates scroll lock, I’m unable to navigate the page by scrolling.

Also I am unable to add any media to the product. I can’t add product gallery images either. When I click either the Add Media link or the add product gallery images link it just redirects me to the top of the page and nothing else happens.

I have de-activated all of the plugins except for WooCommerce and then re-activated them one-by-one and this didn’t work. I then switched to twenty fourteen theme and this worked and I was able to add images and the links all worked fine. I then switched back to Replete and again I had the same problems.
To me this seems like the issues lie in the theme and so I deleted it and re-installed it however that made no difference and I’m still having problems!

I am relatively new to WordPress so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Painfully slow WP4.1 fresh install

Running a fresh WP4.1 install and the site is painfully slow at both ends. It’s taking 1 minute 40 seconds to load anything.

Any ideas? Can’t find the DB Version line in the WP_Options table on PhPMyAdmin. the tables are apparently all up to date.

Since I update WordPress on 4.1, I have open_basedir issues.

When I preview or update post/page I have this :

Since I updated my website to WP 4.1, WP-Members 2.9.7 does not block pages any more, whatever configuration I choose. Before the update to WP 4.1, WP-Members 2.9.7 did a great job on my website and blocked pages as wished. – Does WP-members 2.9.7 not block pages when run with WP 4.1 in general? If yes, is there an update coming soon? Thank you for hints!

SCABN on WordPress 4.1 How do I get the Checkout page up?

Hi Ben,

I’ve been rebuilding one of our websites because we lost everything and had to start again on it. We had a server with terrible data corruption and no current backup of the site and when we went to re-upload the site after the server was re-imaged we noticed that the version of WordPress we had to use was the latest 4.1.

So yes I know that SCABN isn’t yet compatible with WP4.1 but we found a little help on this forum to add the products. That worked fine and adds to the cart widget however we need to get a checkout page up and even after wading through your SCABN code I couldn’t for the life of me remember how to do it or find the shortcode we need.

So please could you tell me what the shortcode to display the checkout page is?

problems with WP4.1?

1. Photos on the unprotected home page are not displayed until a visitor logs in.
2. I have Dashboard open in one tab and the blog in another. When I log out of the “Private blog”, I am also logged out of the WP dashboard on the other tab!
